Online Videos: The Key Element to Successful Social Media Marketing

The latest study from Cisco suggests that online video is poised to grow bigger in the next few years. In fact, the study predicts that video traffic will go from 64 percent in 2014 to higher than 80 percent by 2019, with video-on-demand traffic doubling in the same year. Furthermore, high-definition content is expected to rise from 59 percent in 2014 to about 70 percent in 2019.Most businesses are realizing video’s full potential for their marketing strategies. eMarketer estimates that, this year, businesses will spend over $7.77 billion on online video advertising alone, and expenses may reach as much as $14.38 billion in the next four years. Furthermore, the number of small businesses using online video for their social media marketing strategies doubled compared to last year, according to the Local Search Association.
