Keeping it Real in the Community

There are businesses which are more satisfied with growth around their community. You may have known some entrepreneurs who think this way and have been adamant against expansion efforts like franchising. If you’re one of those business owners, though, this doesn’t mean that you have to remain obscure as long as the business is still up and running. In the age of online commerce, you can still use the locality to your advantage through internet marking services like local search engine optimization (SEO).

Local SEO is a method of getting higher rankings in a search engine when people type keywords based on your product or service, plus the business’ general location. Pursuing this method requires entering your business particulars and “About Us” descriptions in online directories like Google My Business, which now has the old Google Places and Google Plus Local platforms. This enables the search engine to mark out the business location. Every site page can also have the business information on the side bar to reduce the time trying to find the “Contact Us” section.
Take time to create pages on the website and fill them with quality content laced with the proper keyword phrases. Even if, say, there was an online press release about your business, the keyword must lead directly to a specified landing page on the site.

Going local with your business marketing efforts is worth breaking sweats. Even if some clients come over from across the state, keep up the quality service.
